Consortium history

Innovation Consortium is a group of companies and individuals with different skill sets and backgrounds but with a common goal of solving the world challenges through innovation. We aim at developing appropriate, affordable and sustainable solutions and technologies.


  • 2014

    Start of a big Dream

    Innovation Consortium started operations and mainly focused on the engineering disciplines. Technology For Tomorrow(T4T), Technology Research Network(TRN), Jack+ Ingenieros Limited, Dastow Limited are the companies that made up consortium in this year. In the same year Mugerwa julius, Kazibwe Hakim and Kavuuma Isaac were recruited. They attained machine and fabrication skills after training to became experts.

  • 2015

    Partnership and more members

    Consortium formally becomes partners with the Resilient African Network (RAN), part of Makerere University in Uganda. Flat 6 and Earthly energy limited became part of innovation consortium in the same year.
    The Construction business of Consortium gains more heights after the introduction of cost effective methods of building like Interlocking Stabilized Soil Blocks and Precast Technology.
    Consortium took on Makuuza Julius, Mugwanya Isaac, Mubanda Ronald and Mugwanya Patrick to start learning machine work and fabrication. Consortium facilitates Makuuza's further education at Nakawa Vocational Training Institution.
    The construction of the Innovation consortium premises/Offices begins.

  • 2016


    After fully registering with the Uganda government, by this time we were a well known name within the industry. Green world Investments and Quonite Limited became part of the consortium.We had more prominent members in the consortium who had been involved in the different disciplines for more than 8 years and worked for big projects. This included construction and setting up of companies like Soroti fruit factory and others. TRN, one of the companies in consortium actively got involved with going work for Uganda Breweries.
    More partnerships were made with Organisations like Tuyiiye Uganda, Open Space, Inspire Africa and Actogether.
    During this same year Olikiiriza Simon, Serunkuma Gerald and moses kibuuka are taken on by consortium to get equiped with the different mechanical skills.

  • 2017

    Innovation Consortium — A Family Thinking Different

    Zorpa, Tobiah and Manela become part of consortium. Innovation Consortium officially started the THINK TANK and Tuyiiye. The aim of think tank is to come up with solutions to everyday challenges. Tuyiiye empowers people in vulnerable communities/Slums. The Machinery and Fabrication department took on Kakooza Brian for Skilling earlier this year. Consortium facilitates Ronald Ssengonzi's education in a vocational training institute.
